Types of Packaging
There are three key features to consider for medical and dental device packaging: anti-tampering, accessibility, and shelf life. - Cryotubes: Our cryogenic tubes can be customized based on size (2 ml to 10 ml), intended function, and sterility requirements. Constructed from polypropylene and with external threads, these vials are secure vessels for storing biological samples at very low temperatures. We offer cryotubes with silicone gaskets, polyethylene foam, and funnels.
- Class I & II medical devices: For low-risk Class I and minimally invasive Class II medical devices, our packaging complies with the appropriate safety regulations established by the FDA.
- Medical and dental consumables: We also produce sterile packaging for syringes, swabs, needles, sutures, staples, tubing, catheters, gloves, and more.

Materials and Components
Our medical device packaging is primarily made of plastic, glass, or aluminum. Medical-grade plastic resins in particular offer reliable mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and thermal resistance for vital medical and dental applications. For example, our cryogenic tubes use medical-grade polypropylene because it does not contain BPA. Its excellent heat resistance means it can be easily and repeatedly sterilized. The material’s chemical resistance makes it an ideal vessel for various chemicals and cell cultures. We also use acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resins for medical packaging. ABS is durable and easy to sterilize, and manufacturers also use it to produce insulin pens and inhalers.
Sterilization Process
Given patient safety is a primary concern, sterile medical packaging is crucial. At the same time, not all package types need to be sterilized.
For packaging that does require sterilization, the ethylene oxide process (ETO or EO) is one of the most common methods, which uses EO gas and low temperatures. This sterilization method is ideal for plastic packaging, like our polypropylene cryogenic tubes.
